Hermon
Her-MON
What is Hermon?
Hermon is a mountain marking the northern edge of the land Israel took from the Amorite kings east of the Jordan (Deuteronomy 3:8), which the Sidonians called Sirion and the Amorites Shenir (Deuteronomy 3:9). The Psalms liken the dew of Hermon to the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion (Psalms 133:3).
