What is Hanes?
Hanes was a city in Egypt named in Isaiah's warning against Judah trusting in Egypt rather than the LORD: her ambassadors came to Hanes (Isaiah 30:4). It is mentioned alongside Zoan as a place where Judah's envoys sought Egyptian help that would only bring shame.
