Geba

What is Geba?

Geba was a Levitical town of the tribe of Benjamin, given with its suburbs to the priests (Joshua 21:17). Jonathan struck the Philistine garrison there (1 Samuel 13:3), King Asa fortified it as a border town (1 Kings 15:22), and it marked the northern edge of Judah's land, as in the phrase 'from Geba to Beersheba' (2 Kings 23:8).
