Elkanah

Who is Elkanah?
Elkanah was a man of Ramathaim-zophim in the hill country of Ephraim, husband of Hannah and Peninnah, and father of the prophet Samuel (1 Samuel 1:1). When Hannah wept over her childlessness, he asked her, am not I better to thee than ten sons (1 Samuel 1:8).
