Darius

Who is Darius?
Darius was a royal name borne by more than one ruler in Scripture. Darius king of Persia decreed that the house of God be rebuilt, and the temple was finished in the sixth year of his reign (Ezra 6:1, Ezra 6:15). A separate figure, Darius the Median, took the kingdom after Belshazzar and set Daniel over his officials (Daniel 5:31, Daniel 6:1).
