What is Cherubim?
Cherubim are winged heavenly beings who serve God's presence. God placed them with a flaming sword at the east of Eden to guard the way to the tree of life (Genesis 3:24), and two golden cherubim overshadowed the mercy seat on the ark of the covenant, the place from which God met and spoke with Israel (Exodus 25:18, Exodus 25:22).
