Cherith

What is Cherith?
Cherith was a brook before the Jordan where the LORD sent the prophet Elijah to hide, telling him to turn eastward. Elijah went and dwelt by the brook Cherith and drank from it (1 Kings 17:3, 1 Kings 17:5).
