What is Assos?
Assos was a harbour town on the sea route Paul's companions took ahead of him. They went before to ship and sailed unto Assos, intending to take Paul in there, for he had so appointed, minding himself to go afoot (Acts 20:13). He met them at Assos, they took him in, and they came to Mitylene (Acts 20:14).
