Achaia

What is Achaia?

Achaia was the Roman province in southern Greece that included Corinth: Paul wrote to the church at Corinth 'with all the saints which are in all Achaia' (2 Corinthians 1:1), and Gallio was its deputy when the Jews brought Paul before the judgment seat (Acts 18:12). Its believers gave generously for the poor saints at Jerusalem (Romans 15:26).
