Antioch

AN-tih-ahk

What is Antioch?

Two New Testament cities share the name. Antioch in Syria was home to the church that sent out Paul and Barnabas, and there the disciples were first called Christians (Acts 11:26); Antioch in Pisidia was a city Paul evangelized on his first journey and where he endured persecution (Acts 13:14, 2 Timothy 3:11).
