What is Agagite?
Agagite is the label given to Haman the son of Hammedatha, the enemy of the Jews whom King Ahasuerus promoted above all his princes (Esther 3:1). As "Haman the Agagite," he plotted to destroy the Jews and cast the lot, or Pur, against them (Esther 9:24).
