Christ shall bring joy unto the people of Egypt; for He shall come unto them in a later age to take vengeance and destroy the Devil, who wronged the kind and the innocent, who led astray the people, and who hateth the work of his Creator.
He shall take vengeance and destroy him; and He shall bring low the dominion of the Devil into misery and humiliation, for he hath been lifted up in his understanding.
He shall turn his dominion into humiliation; for the Devil spake, saying, I will enter into the midst of the sea, I will ascend unto Heaven, I will look into the depths, and I will seize the children of Adam as bird chicks. Who is higher than I?
Because I turned their minds to distance them from the straight Law of the Lord—and as I shall grow stronger over those that dwell in this world, except they do the Will of the Lord—there is none that shall remove me from my dominion, he said.
For I will be the cause whereby they return unto a path that is smooth for going down unto Gehenna with me.
Those who loved Him and kept His Law do hate me for this cause; but those who departed from the Law of their Lord and who erred shall come unto me, and love me, and keep mine oath. As I make their understanding evil and turn their thoughts so they return not unto their Creator, they shall do my bidding as I commanded them.
And when I shew unto them the riches of this world, I will lead astray their understanding from the straight Law; and when I shew unto them beautiful and comely daughters, I will distance them from the straight Law by these.
And when I shew unto them shining jewels of India, silver, and gold, I will distance them by these also from the straight Law, that they might return unto my work.
And when I shew unto them fine garments, red silk, white silk, and linens, I will distance them by these also from the straight Law and return them unto my thoughts. When I multiply their riches and their cattle as the sand and shew it unto them, by this also I will return them unto my work.
And when I shew unto them jealousy born of pride over women, and shew unto them wrath and strife, by all this I will return them unto my work.
And when I shew unto them signs, I will dwell in the minds of their fellows; I will set a sign for each soul in their own understanding, shewing them signs in words to lead them astray.
And for those in whom I dwell, I will shew them signs—whether it be in the courses of the stars, the passing of clouds, the flickering of fire, or the cries of beasts and fowls. As they are my dwelling places, I will set signs in their understanding through all these things.
They will speak and give signs unto their fellows; and even as those gainsayers told them, I will go before them and be a sign for them.
I will perform these signs for them, that those who examine them might be led astray; they will pay wages unto sorcerers and tell their fellows, There are no diviners like such and such, for whom all things come to pass even as they spake; they know prophecy, they discern good from evil, and all things come to pass according to their word.
I will be joyful when they speak thus, that those who perish and err because of me might increase, and the children of Adam might perish. For the Lord humbled me from my rank because of their father Adam, when I said, I will not bow unto Adam, who is lower than I.
And I will take unto destruction all his children who dwell firmly under my command. I have an oath from the Lord who created me, that all persons whom I lead astray shall descend unto Gehenna with me.
When He increased His wrath against me, and when He commanded that I be bound and cast into Gehenna—when my Creator commanded this—I made intercession before my Lord. I pleaded before Him, saying: As Thou art wroth with me, and as Thou hast chastened me by Thy punishment and corrected me by Thy wrath—Lord, my Lord, grant me a season that I might speak one thing before Thee.
And my Lord answered me, saying: Speak, and I will hear thee. At that time I began my supplication unto Him, saying: Since I was humbled from my rank, let the people whom I lead astray be as I am in Gehenna, where I shall receive tribulation.
And let those who refused me, who erred not because of me, who kept not my command, but who did Thy Commandment, fulfilled Thy Will, and kept Thy Word—let them belong unto Thy Dominion. Since they erred not as I led them astray, having refused what I taught them—when Thou didst love me, let them now take the crown Thou once gavest unto me.
Give unto them the crown of the principalities called Satans who were sent with me; seat them upon my throne at Thy Right Hand, which became a wilderness because of me and my hosts.
And let them praise Thee as Thou desirest; let them be as my hosts and as I was. Because Thou hast hated me and loved those created from ashes and earth—as my dominion hath perished and theirs hath been exalted—let them praise Thee as Thou desirest.
My Lord answered me, saying: As thou hast led them astray while they saw and heard, if thou didst lead them astray without them loving Mine Ordinance, let them belong unto thee according to thy will and thy word.
If they forsake the Word of the Books and My Commandment and come unto thee—and if thou lead them astray while their destruction also grieveth Me—let them receive tribulation in Gehenna even as thou, He said unto me.
Thou shalt receive tribulation in Gehenna until eternity; thou shalt have no deliverance from Gehenna for ever—neither those whom thou hast led astray, nor thou.
