6 Scriptures for Anxiety About the Future
“Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”
Matthew 6:34
Jesus is not telling you to pretend the future is not real. He is saying each day has its own allotment of grace and trouble. You cannot draw down tomorrow's grace tonight. So tomorrow's worry cannot be solved tonight either. Let it wait for when it has the resources.

God, I am ahead of myself again. I am living in next week, next year, in a version of my life that has not happened yet, trying to solve problems that may not even come. Pull me back into today. Remind me that my times are in Your hand, and that You have been thinking peace toward me the whole way. You know the expected end. I do not need to. Help me take one step, not ten. Amen.
