What is Sunem?
Sunem is a spelling used in some translations for Shunem, a town in the territory of Issachar (Joshua 19:18). It was home to the woman who gave Elisha food and lodging (2 Kings 4:8), and the Philistines camped there before Saul's last battle (1 Samuel 28:4).
