Reblatha

REB-luh-thuh

What is Reblatha?

Reblatha is the spelling used in the Latin Vulgate and the Douay-Rheims translation for Riblah, a city in the land of Hamath. In the King James Version Pharaohnechoh put Jehoahaz in bands at Riblah so that he might not reign in Jerusalem, and laid the land under tribute (2 Kings 23:33). Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon later gave judgment upon Zedekiah at Riblah and slew his sons before his eyes (2 Kings 25:6, Jeremiah 39:5, Jeremiah 39:6).
