Who is Nicodemus?
Nicodemus was a Pharisee and a ruler of the Jews who came to Jesus by night, prompting the teaching about being born again (John 3:1, John 3:4). He later urged that the law not condemn a man without a hearing (John 7:50), and after the crucifixion he brought about a hundred pounds of myrrh and aloes to help bury Jesus (John 19:39).
