Who is Mahlon?
Mahlon was one of the two sons of Elimelech and Naomi, an Ephrathite family of Bethlehem-judah who moved to Moab (Ruth 1:2). He married Ruth the Moabitess and later died there, after which Boaz redeemed Naomi's land and took Ruth as his wife to raise up the name of the dead (Ruth 4:10).
