What is Kohathite?
The Kohathites were a Levite clan descended from Kohath, son of Levi, forming one of the three great divisions of the Levites (Numbers 26:57). Their charge was the most holy furnishings of the tabernacle, which they carried on their shoulders as Israel journeyed (Numbers 10:21).
