What is Jehovah-nissi?
Jehovah-nissi is the name Moses gave to the altar he built after Joshua defeated Amalek, meaning 'the LORD is my banner' (Exodus 17:15). He named it because the LORD had sworn to war against Amalek from generation to generation (Exodus 17:16).
Meaning: the LORD is my banner (Hebrew)
