Who is Ithamar?
Ithamar was the youngest of the four sons Aaron had by Elisheba, and after Nadab and Abihu died before the LORD, he and Eleazar ministered in the priest's office in their father's sight (Exodus 6:23, Numbers 3:4). The Gershonite and Merarite Levites served under his hand in the tabernacle, and David later divided the priesthood between the houses of Eleazar and Ithamar (Numbers 4:28, 1 Chronicles 24:4).
