Who is Isaiah?

Isaiah was a prophet in Judah, the son of Amoz, whose vision came in the days of kings Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah (Isaiah 1:1). He counseled King Hezekiah during the Assyrian threat and Hezekiah's illness (2 Kings 20:1), and the book of Isaiah records his prophecies.

Meaning: the LORD is salvation (Hebrew)
