What is Halak?
Halak is a mountain named only as a boundary marker, described as the mount Halak, that goeth up to Seir, one limit of the land Joshua took, with Baalgad in the valley of Lebanon under mount Hermon at the other (Joshua 11:17). The same landmark bounds the roll of kings smitten on this side Jordan on the west, from Baalgad in the valley of Lebanon even unto the mount Halak (Joshua 12:7). Scripture records no events at the mountain itself.
