Hachaliah
HAK-uh-LYE-uh
Who is Hachaliah?
Hachaliah was the father of Nehemiah, the cupbearer to the Persian king who rebuilt Jerusalem's walls. He is named only to identify his son, at the opening of the book (Nehemiah 1:1) and again where Nehemiah the governor seals the covenant (Nehemiah 10:1).
