What is Gittite?
A Gittite is a person from the Philistine city of Gath. The word describes Obededom, in whose house David left the ark for three months (2 Samuel 6:10, 2 Samuel 6:11), Ittai, the loyal warrior who followed David into exile (2 Samuel 15:22), and Goliath, the giant of Gath (2 Samuel 21:19).
