Eliseus

Who is Eliseus?
Eliseus is the New Testament spelling of the name of the prophet Elisha. Jesus invoked him in the synagogue at Nazareth, saying that many lepers were in Israel in the time of Eliseus the prophet, and none of them was cleansed except Naaman the Syrian (Luke 4:27). That saying, paired with his words about Elias and the widow of Sarepta, is what turned the congregation against him.
Meaning: God is salvation (Hebrew, in its Greek form)
