What is Baal-zebub?
Baalzebub was the god of the Philistine city of Ekron. When King Ahaziah was injured, he sent messengers to enquire of Baalzebub whether he would recover, and the LORD rebuked him through Elijah for seeking that god instead of the God of Israel (2 Kings 1:2, 2 Kings 1:3).
