Where was Asuppim?

Asuppim names a post among the wards of the porters, or gatekeepers, who cast lots for every gate of the house of the LORD. The lot southward fell to Obededom, and to his sons the house of Asuppim (1 Chronicles 26:15), and the watch toward Asuppim was set two and two (1 Chronicles 26:17). Scripture describes it only through these guard assignments.
