Ashdoth-pisgah

ASH-doth-PIZ-guh

What is Ashdoth-pisgah?

Ashdothpisgah, written as one word in the KJV, was a boundary point on the slopes of Pisgah in the plain of Jordan, appearing twice in the description of that plain: from Chinnereth to the salt sea under Ashdothpisgah eastward (Deuteronomy 3:17), and again from the south under Ashdothpisgah, the way to Bethjeshimoth (Joshua 12:3). It is also listed in the inheritance given to Reuben (Joshua 13:20).
