What is Akeldama?
Akeldama was a field near Jerusalem associated with Judas, who purchased a field with the reward of iniquity (Acts 1:18). The dwellers at Jerusalem called it in their own tongue Aceldama, that is to say, the field of blood (Acts 1:19).
