And whether thou be a king or a ruler, what great thing art thou?

Is it not JAH who created thee, bringing thee from death unto life, that thou mightest do His will and mightest live strengthened by His commandment, and mightest fear His judgment? Even as thou dost afflict thy servants and dost govern over them, so also there is JAH who afflicteth thee and governeth over thee.

Even as thou dost smite without mercy him who hath committed iniquity, so also there is JAH who shall smite thee and bring thee down unto Gehenna, whence there are no departures unto eternity.

Even as thou dost scourge him who was not subject unto thee and brought not tribute unto thee, wherefore is it that thou dost not offer tribute unto JAH?

Seeing that He is the One who created thee, that thou mightest love those who fear thee, and who crowned thee over all creation that thou mightest keep His people faithful, wherefore is it that thou dost not fear thy Creator JAH?

Judge by that which is just and true, even as JAH appointed thee; yet shew not favour nor partiality unto the small or the great. Whom shalt thou fear besides Him? Keep His worship and the Nine Commandments.

Even as Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying, "I have set before you water and fire; stretch forth thy hand toward that which thou lovest," go not to the right hand nor to the left.

Hear His word that I speak unto thee, that thou mightest hear His word and do His commandment; lest thou say, "It is beyond the sea, or beyond the deep, or beyond the river; who shall bring it unto me, that I might behold it and hear His word and do His commandment?"

Lest thou say, "Who shall ascend unto Heaven again and bring down that word of JAH unto me, that I might hear and do it?" The word of JAH is that which hath drawn nigh; behold, that thou mightest teach it with thy mouth and give alms thereby with thy hand.

And thou didst not hear thy Creator JAH unless thou heardest His Book; and thou didst not love Him nor keep His commandment unless thou didst keep His Law. And thou shalt enter Gehenna for ever if thou lovest not His commandment, and unless thou doest the will of JAH, who honoured thee and made thee renowned, separating thee from all thy people that thou mightest keep them faithful; thou shalt enter Gehenna for ever.

He set thee above all, and He crowned thee over all His people, that thou mightest rule His people faithfully by that which is just, whilst thou rememberest the name of thy Creator who created thee and gave thee a kingdom.

There are those whom thou dost scourge for wronging thee, and there are those whom thou dost pardon whilst thou considerest the work of JAH, and there are those for whom thou dost judge by that which is just, making straight thine understanding.

And shew not favour nor partiality when they contend before thee, for earthly possessions are thy wealth. Receive not a bribe, that thou mightest pardon the transgressor and wrong the innocent.

If thou doest His will, JAH shall multiply thy days in this world; but if thou grieve Him, He shall diminish thy days.

Consider that thou shalt arise after thou diest, and that thou shalt be examined standing before Him for all the works thou hast wrought, whether they be good or evil.

If thou doest good works, thou shalt dwell in the Garden in the Kingdom of Heaven, in houses where righteous kings dwell and where Light aboundeth. For JAH doth not put to shame thy dominion or thy authority. But if thou doest evil works, thou shalt abide in Sheol Gehenna, where wicked kings dwell.

But when thou beholdest thy feared renown, the reward of thy warriors, thy hanging shield and spear; and when thou beholdest thy horses and thy troops under thy dominion, and those who beat upon the timbrel, and those who play upon the harp before thee—

But when thou beholdest all this, thou makest lofty thine understanding, and thou dost stiffen the neck of thy heart, and thou dost not consider JAH who gave thee all this honour. Howbeit, when He saith unto thee, "Depart from all this," thou art not one who departeth therefrom.

For thou hast wholly forsaken the charge which He charged thee, and He shall give thy dominion unto another.

For death shall come upon thee suddenly, and judgment shall be rendered in the time of the resurrection; and as all the works of men shall be examined, He shall wholly search out and judge thee.

There are none who shall honour the kings of this world; for because He is the True Judge, in the time of judgment the poor and the wealthy shall stand together. The crowns of the nobles of this world, in which they boast, shall fall.

Judgment is prepared, and every soul shall quake; in that hour the works of sinners and of righteous ones shall be examined.

And there are none who shall be hidden. As when a woman cometh to the time of her travail, and the child within her womb cometh to be born, even as she cannot withhold her womb, so also the Earth cannot withhold her dead that are upon her; she shall give them up.

And even as clouds cannot withhold the rain, save they take it and pour it down upon the place whither JAH commandeth them; for the word of JAH hath created all things, bringing them from death unto life; and the word of JAH again hath brought all unto the grave; and all likewise, when the time of resurrection is come, it is not possible that the dead shall not arise.

Even as Moses spake, saying, "It is by the words that proceed from the mouth of JAH; yet it is not by bread alone that a man is preserved"; and the word of JAH again shall raise up all men from the graves.

Behold, it was known that the dead shall arise by the word of JAH.

And again JAH spake thus in Deuteronomy, concerning nobles and kings who do His will: "As the day hath come when they are appointed unto destruction, I shall take vengeance and destroy them on the day when judgment is judged, and in the hour when their feet do stumble," He said.

And again JAH spake unto those who know His judgment, saying, "Know that I am the LORD thy Creator, and that I slay and I deliver."

"I chasten in tribulation and I pardon; I bring down unto Sheol and again I send forth unto the Garden; and there are none who shall escape from My dominion," He spake unto them.

JAH spake thus concerning nobles and kings who kept not His Law: "As earthly kingdoms are passing away, and as they pass from morning unto evening, keep My commandment and My Law, that ye may enter into the Kingdom of Heaven that abideth strengthened for ever," He said.

For the calling of JAH unto the righteous is unto glory, and unto sinners is unto tribulation. He shall make the transgressor wretched, but He shall honour the righteous.

He shall dismiss him who did not His will, but He shall appoint him who did His will.
